Short answer: You do feel some pain within your company.

The most common reasons to use a consultant and relief this pain include:

• Filling short-term staffing needs

• Filling interim roles until  permanent staff is placed

• Assignments that require highly-specialized knowledge and experience

• Staffing for projects that are outside the core of your business offerings

• To meet requirements for audits, assessments, and surveys

• Buying products and services that are already developed and proven to meet business needs

But it doesn´t stop here. Depending on your goals, VdG Consult leverages many components across all of our consulting services to customize the perfect solution for your business or career.

The time required for a consulting project usually depends on the following criteria:

• Business needs and challenges

• Budget

• Size of the organization and/or size of the team

• Scope of the consulting project

Based on our experience over the last 24 years the length of our consulting engagements has varied from a few weeks for a quick assessment to a few years for enterprise change management and business transformation initiatives.

A project scope is typically determined during the initial consultation sessions depending on the business goals, challenges and the size of the organization.

For complex challenges and enterprise clients, we typically recommend an assessment phase at the very beginning of the project to ensure that we identify and prioritize everything correctly and develop the best solution to meet your goals.

Our services and solutions are designed to be flexible, targeted and modular to solve for all kind of challenges.

In order to develop the perfect solution for your goal setting we mix-match our organizational strategy, business process management, instructional design and training programs.

Organizational change is assessing the past, comparing it to the present and determining the ideal future state from the current business state. Success measurement of change is how much better the future state is from the current state.

Transformation is redefining what something is (the current state). It begins by first assessing the present to the desired future. Success measurement of transformation is how much different the future state is from the current state based on the initial vision and organizational strategy definition.

No, not necessarily. Factors that influence what parts of VdG Consult strategy solution make sense for you include:

• Maturity of your organization

• Your business, operations and process management goals

• Timelines to reach your defined business goals

• Any current strategy definition or analysis that you currently have

• Size of your organization

• Current business challenges

• Future major business changes or acquisitions

• Recent major business changes or acquisitions

• Recent major business changes or acquisitions

Of course, we do. Initial consultation is always our first step in getting to the core of your challenges. This way we will determine if we are the right consultants to get you to your goals.

Yes, we do both. Depending on the scope of the project, we typically develop fixed price contracts. This allows you to have a defined budget without unpleasant surprises.

Time and materials contracts are more appropriate for short-term consulting projects or projects that are more urgent and there isn’t the time to properly scope the core issue(s) during the proposal phase.
